My how things have changed in babyland

Just last week my husband and I drove down to Virginia to keep two of our ten grandchildren. One is just a year old and the other two and a half. Although they are super good, it is exhausting when you don't care for little ones on a regular basis.

By the time they were both in bed by 8 o'clock, we were also ready for bed. but I have always been a very light sleeper even when my own children were growing up. And things haven't changed in that regard. Add in the fact that my grandson, the year old, has asthma and some breathing issues and I did not sleep much at all. He, on the other hand, thank God, slept beautifully ... for which I was most thankful.

After five nights, we were more than ready to head home to our own beds. But I can't tell you how much pleasure I get from seeing and caring for all of my grandkids. I would raise them all if I could!
